December 2019 Theme Weeks

Here are theme weeks to wrap up 2019 (but one of them is changing dates with another)…

December 2-6: Shopping Spree*

December 9-13: Disney Secret Santa (Week 1)

December 16-20: Disney Secret Santa (Week 2)

December 23-27: On Holiday

December 30-January 3: America’s Game II

*According to Robert, Shopping Spree (which taped yesterday) has moved up a week to where Safe Travels (which taped today) was, likely because of Black Friday week. It is unconfirmed if Shopping Spree simply swapped air dates w/ Safe Travels.

Also, we heard that there were only five episodes taped for Veterans Week. A contestant named Bill on that week was originally scheduled to air on November 4, but his date was moved to November 5. No reason was stated about this date change.

LAST B & B TRIP THIS WEEK: Inn at Tabbs Creek in Virginia

Crossword Round: BATH _____

This round’s all Chris — a $1,400 T pair, a $550 R, a $600 B, four O’s and E, a $650 L, and the last vowel of A via FP.

  •            R O O _
  •            O        A
  •            B        T
  • T O _ E L

ROOM, TOWEL and MAT are the other bath things for $2,700 and a new total of $5,700 — PR.

Mystery Round: FUN & GAMES

Zeb starts her run w/ a $1,400 T pair, two O’s, an $800 H, and an S on the MW near $650 before she risks $1,950…$$$. But after buying three E’s, two U’s and A, she BANKRUPTs near $650 to flush away $11,200. After Ani spins the other normal BANKRUPT, Chris fills in a $500 R, a $650 P, two I’s, a $500 N, a G for the Pajamagram gift tag, an M for the WC, and a $900 C. The near-complete board…

C _ I M _ I N G
U P / T O / A
T R E E / H O U S E

He’s CLIMBING UP TO A TREE HOUSE to get $4,300 cash & gift certificate.

BANKRUPTS: 2 (ladies)

Chris: $10K cash & Pajamagram/Ladies: $0 each

PP/Express Round: EVENT

Ani wastes a spin w/ the MDW’s left side. Second, Chris says T for trouble. Third, Zeb spins her way to a $1,200 N pair, a $500 L, two A’s, but then the same MDW BANKRUPT to hand over $1,450. Ani next lights up an H and HOPS ABOARD the EXPRESS.

Next Picks: three E’s, two O’s (NMV)…P…M…F for flunk (there goes $2,500)

After Chris whiffs w/ B for bad…

P H E N O M E N A L
_ O _ A _ E

Zeb is in for a PHENOMENAL VOYAGE on a PANAMA CANAL CRUISE aboard the Carnival Legend worth $7K.

NON-BANKRUPT DUDS: T & B (Chris)
BANKRUPTS: 3 (Ani 2x, Zeb)

Zeb: $7K cruise/Ani: BAD SHAPE/Chris: $10K cash & Pajamagram WC

Triple Toss-Up Round: SONG LYRICS

1.

A _ D / _ / H E _ D / H E R
_ A N D / I N / M _ N _

The theme is gonna be Beatles songs — Ani blows this one w/ “AND A HEAD HER HAND IN MINE“.

A N D / _ / H E _ D / H E R
_ A N D / I N / M _ N _

Zeb doesn’t do any better w/ “AND I HAD HER HAND IN MINE”.

A N D / I / H E L D / H E R
H A N D / I N / M _ N E

Chris just barely makes it w/ “AND I HELD HER HAND IN MINE” (from “I Saw Her Standing There”).

2.

P E N N Y / L A N E / I S
I N / M Y / _ A R S

Another near Triple Stumper, but Zeb gets “PENNY LANE IS IN MY EARS”.

3.

H E R _ / _ O M E S / T H E
S _ N / A N D / I / S A Y

Chris exactly recites “HERE COMES THE SUN AND I SAY” for control.

Speed-Up: THINGS

Consonants are worth $1,700 apiece.

Chris: 2 N’s
Zeb: D
Ani: S
Chris: R (DUD)
Zeb: L
Ani: H
Chris: M
Zeb: T (WHY?!)

M _ T H / _ N D
S _ _ _ N _ _

Zeb gets MATH AND SCIENCE for $3,400, but she should’ve called the C’s to win by $100.

DUDS: R (Chris) & L (Zeb)

FINAL SCORES
Zeb: $12,400 cash & cruise/Ani: $1K GOOSEEGG/Chris: $14K cash & Pajamagram WC

GT: $27,400
BANKRUPT TRASH: $15,150

I wouldn’t be surprised if we get SKUNKED after this sloppy game unless Chris can bail us out w/ one of these categories…

  • PEOPLE
  • THING
  • FOOD & DRINK

He goes for PEOPLE.

$100K Bonus Round

His parents are Lisa and Vinny, and we’ve landed on my spot of the M in AMERICA’S for the other time this week. Think of an early S35 puzzle for this one (and you need to change the letters in the last word)…

_ / _ R _ _ _
_ _ / _ _ _ S

MDHI and K…result in the other WIPEOUT this week and we unsurprisingly get SKUNKED for the first time this season (also the third time on this particular theme week we know of). A GROUP OF BOYS will drive off in the RAV4 instead of him.
