Crossword/Mystery Round: FAMILY REUNION
Our early leaders call up four S’s and go for what’s under the MW near $650…$$$. But their next call of T is no good. Second, the Woolridges light up a $700 R, but the BANKRUPT near $650 strikes. Third, the Poppoffs come up w/ a $700 L, but the sole dud vowel of E stops them. The Esteses then say three D’s for that MDW and C for crud. After the Woolridges BANKRUPT the same way they did before, the Poppoffs proceed to pick a $1,200 pair of G’s, buy three A’s, but then get the exact same fate to give up $1,400. With another chance to capitalize, the Esteses then rattle off an $800 N, a $500 K, an H for the WC, the other three good vowels, but then painfully strike out w/ P while on the luggage. The Woolridges then complete the crossword board w/ an $1,100 pair of M’s…
