A $600 S gets him started, but that’s taken right back by the MDW’s left side. Second, Shannon calls up two N’s for $1,100, triple I’s, a G for that Maine wedge, two $600 L’s, two A’s, three E’s, and a $1,200 pair of P’s. We have…

Mystery Round: BEFORE & AFTER

Fresh from her nice R1 win, Shannon leads off w/ a $1,400 pair of S’s, one A, and five E’s, followed by two $650 T’s, but then a bad I buy. Second, Cyndy takes two H’s for the MW near $650 and tries to multiply the $2K buyout by five…got it. Next up are a $1K N, two O’s to finish off the vowels, a $600 W, but then the LaT to likely give back $11,350. Isaac then picks off a $7K pair of C’s…

E _ _ E _ O _ ‘ S / N E W
C _ O T H E S
_ A C _

…why he didn’t go w/ the R’s is beyond me, but he’s right anyway w/ “THE EMPEROR’S NEW CLOTHES” RACK.

SOLE DUD: I (Shannon)
SOLE LaT: Cyndy

Shannon: $10,250 cash & ME/Cyndy: BAD LUCK/Isaac: $9K

PP/Express Round: QUOTATION

Cyndy’s next chance to get on the board begins w/ two FP A’s, a $600 T, three E’s and an I, a $2,100 trio of N’s, and four O’s to wipe out the vowel shop. But after two H’s for the gift tag and a $500 W, she says a FATAL DUD of L to leave $4,450 cash & gift tag on the table…

W H E N / I N / _ O _ E
_ O / A _ / T H E
_ O _ A N _ / _ O

MEGA-CONSONATIVITY ALERT —  Isaac just recites “WHEN IN ROME, DO AS THE ROMANS DO” for a $7K trip to that place sponsored by the upcoming James Bond movie “SPECTRE” (in theaters on Nov. 6).

SOLE DUD: L (Cyndy)

Shannon: $10,250 cash & ME/Cyndy: ZIPPO/Isaac: $16K cash & Rome

Isaac feels he’s part of THE DREAM TEAM on this show.

Round 4: THING

He first puts up a $500 T, buys an E, but then loses the other 1/2 of his money to the BANKRUPT near $650. Second for Shannon are two $700 N’s, two I’s, three A’s, a $10K pair of R’s, and two U’s to clean out the vowels. One $600 M and a $700 S later…

_ R I S _ / _ _ E A N
A U T U M N / A I R

…she may have let $11,950 and the game slip away, because she incorrectly responds w/ BRISK, CLEAN AUTUMN AIR. Cyndy then tacks on a $1K pair of C’s…

C R I S _ / C _ E A N
A U T U M N / A I R

…she takes in the CRISP, CLEAN AUTUMN AIR.

SOLE DQ: Shannon’s blown solve

Shannon: $10,250 cash & ME/Cyndy: $1K/Isaac: $19K cash & Rome

Speed-Up Round: PHRASE

The first FS this week is $1,600. After a G appears to leave only vowels remaining…

An dismal episode with a BR loss. Cyndy had Terrible luck and that lose a turn cost her $10K and a Fatal dud of L surrendered her Big money and Shannon's Blown solve were brutal.

    My rating: 3

I think we can consider Isaac a lifetime Wheel Watcher, and even though he didn't win the BR, he did rather well.

    My rating: 6.5
