FEATURED TRIP: Emerald Waterways river cruise through Europe worth $10,500

Round 1: FOOD & DRINK

She’s off and running w/ a $600 T, but a bad E buy stops her just as quick. Second, Albert wastes a turn w/ the BANKRUPT near $650. Third, Whitney captures $10K worth of four S’s, but next is another bad vowel purchase of A. Lindsay resumes play w/ two R’s for $1,400, but then buys the third and final dud vowel of this board (O). Albert next selects a $900 N but then repeats the E. Whitney then buys both good vowels (the U and triple I’s) and scoops up another $10K w/ four C’s…

C R I S _ _
C R U N C _ _
_ I S _ / S T I C _ S

…she eats up some CRISPY, CRUNCHY FISH STICKS for $19,250!

DUDS: E (Lindsay; duplicated by Albert), A (Whitney), O (Lindsay)
SOLE BANKRUPT: Albert

Lindsay: $2K/Albert: $0/Whitney: $20,250

Mystery Round: SAME LETTER

Albert’s next chance at better luck begins w/ two T’s for $1,800, twin E’s, but the A lets somebody down again (and it’s the only bad vowel of this puzzle). Second, Whitney finds a $650 S, buys an I, but then runs into the other normal BANKRUPT. Lindsay next picks up the Party City gift tag w/ an R but then LaTs out. After Albert fails w/ N while on the 1/2 CAR near the orange $900, Whitney selects the SL Bonus of four $600 B’s, the other good vowels, a $650 L, a C for that MDW, a $650 K, and a $1K pair of G’s. Here’s the near-complete board…

B I G
B U _ G E T
B L O C K B U S T E R

…she solves BIG BUDGET BLOCKBUSTER for another $5,200.

DUDS (both by the guy): A and N (my initials)
SOLE LaT: Lindsay
SOLE BANKRUPT: Whitney

Lindsay: $2K/Albert: NO LUCK/Whitney: $25,450 MDW

—————-

PP/Express Round: WAYD?

Our big leader gets the obvious out of the way first — two N’s for the other 1/2 CAR, two I’s, and a $650 G (just a little too strong there). She follows w/ triple A’s, a $1K pair of R’s, two O’s, three $700 P’s, a $600 S, the last vowel of three E’s, and three T’s for $2,100 more, then we see this…

S _ O P P I N G / A T
T _ E / O P E N – A I R
_ A R _ E T

…she wins another $6,450 and will be SHOPPING AT THE OPEN-AIR MARKET in JAMAICA during her stay at the all-inclusive The Oasis at Sunset worth $9,394.

PR!

Lindsay: $2K/Albert: GOOSEEGG ALERT/Whitney: $41,294 cash & Jamaica MDW

$3K Tossup: THING

I _ _ / B U _ K E T

Lindsay gets some more money from an ICE BUCKET.

Round 4: PHRASE

S for sorry is how she starts. Albert secondly BANKRUPTs next to $650. Third for Whitney are a $900 T, two O’s and an I, but then the S-U signal…

I / _ O _ _ _ _ ‘ T
_ _ _ _ _ / _ O _ _

…and the remaining consonants pay off at $1,500 apiece. We fast forward to the point where the man puts up the L…

I / C O _ L D N ‘ T
_ _ R _ _ / _ O R _

…he goofs w/ “I COULDN’T CARE…”. A dud of K and three E’s later…

I / C O _ L D N ‘ T
_ _ R E E / _ O R E

Lindsay says “I COULDN’T AGREE MORE for $3K.

(NOTE: After the two R’s appeared, there was a possible null cycle cut during Albert’s thinking time.)

DUDS (during S-U): W and K (both by Whitney)
SOLE DQ: Albert’s botched solve

FINAL SCORES
Lindsay: $8K/Albert: $1K GOOSEEGG/Whitney: $41,294 cash & Jamaica MDW

GT: $50,294
BANKRUPT TRASH: a mere $400

MILLION DOLLAR BONUS ROUND #13
After we see her parents (George and Denise; he’s holding the MDW), brother Brian and boyfriend Charlie, she takes the BW to the M of GAME (and maybe MILLIONAIRE).

Category: PHRASE
Nothing but triple T’s to start this one off…

_ _ T _ _ _ T
_ / _ _ _ _ T

CPMA is of very limited help…

_ _ T _ _ _ T
A / _ _ _ _ T

…there was WITHOUT A DOUBT no chance for her to solve this one. And we really, really hate to rub this in to her…

SHE JUST MADE HORRIBLE HISTORY ON THIS PROGRAM AS THE FIRST-EVER MILLION DOLLAR LOSER.

MAJOR OUCH. IF SHE HAD WENT W/ MY BGHO COMBINATION, SHE WOULD HAVE DETHRONED AUTUMN ERHARD AS THE NEW ALL-TIME TOP QUEEN ON THE PROGRAM. Don’t even think of declaring a technical win on this one, for crying out loud; I’m just fed up w/ that. If you’re reading this Whitney, I’m really, really sorry.

$5K SPIN ID: JV7287292

VIDEO BONUS
: Full Ep. of the MILLION DOLLAR DISASTER

(FINAL NOTE: The outcome of this was NOT spoiled on the promo reel, thankfully.)

MY EP. RATING: 5

I am very disappointed in Tonights episode. Based on this Million Dollar loss, my rating is a 1 out of 10. It was very horrible

This is not an appropriate rating, Antwan. Look at how much Whitney won.

Andy, this million-dollar loss best describes how I felt last September when I attended a Texas Rangers game and there was a three-hour rain delay. We left the stadium without even seeing a single pitch and I was just bawling when I returned to work after the most painful moment in my life. I'm posting this because I am a Rangers baseball fan.

Well, it was gonna happen sooner or later. Yikes! Poor Whitney. My rating is a 6 because of her big maingame total.

We need another millionaire this season! The next time there's a million dollar bonus round, that $32K BETTER NOT SHOW UP!

Chances are it probably will be $32K. And chances are…there probably WON'T be another millionaire. But as they always say, you never know…

Albert has an awesome time despite not solving any puzzles, which is a good thing.
