The Halls just make it in time w/ SPORTSWRITER to triple their money.

FEATURED TRIP: Bienville House in N.O. worth $9K ($4,500 for each person)

Jackpot Round: FICTIONAL CHARACTER (Wheelmobile wipe)

The Halls are off to a sour start w/ the MDW’s left-side BANKRUPT. Second, the Wrights call up two R’s for $800 but then S for sorry. Third, the Riemedios pick up the Omaha Steaks gift tag w/ three T’s, the WC w/ an N, and FP a dud of L. Afterwards, they pick up the N.O. trip w/ three H’s and crap out w/ K. Back to the Halls who say two D’s and a G at $500 a pop and a $400 D to leave only vowels remaining…

…and they solve THOR, THE GOD OF THUNDER for the $2K house minimum.

DUDS: S (Wrights), L, K (both by Riemedios — these spell out a class of Mercedes-Benz cars)

Scores after R1
Halls: $5K/Others: $0 each (red team has the WC)

To begin, the Wrights call up two L’s for $600, three T’s for another $2,700, five E’s, two obvious G’s for another $1,800, and four O’s. Afterwards, they put in an F and two G’s at $900 a pop before they…

blank out on the last word, to possibly lose $6,700 and the lead. The Riemedios don’t do any better w/ the BANKRUPT next to the WC, so they lose said item. Over to the Halls who claim a $500 N and D, an A, and a $1,100 pair of S’s, but they then buy the sole dud vowel of I. That gives the Wrights a second chance, but NOT for long — they BANKRUPT the same way the Riemedios did to let their $6,700 disappear for good. Those guys in red then put up a $300 B and quadruple up w/ a P request…

T H E / T A L E / O F
T H E / G O L D E N

…they solve “THE TALE OF THE GOLDEN GOOSE” BUMPS for the house minimum.

SOLE DUD: I (Halls)
BANKRUPTS: 2 (both father/son teams)
SOLE DQ: Wrights’ blank-out

Scores after R2
Riemedios: $2K/Halls: $5K/Wrights: BUPKIS

Mystery/PP Round: FOOD & DRINK

The Riemedios are first w/ a $300 T but then the other normal BANKRUPT. Second, the Halls fall victim to the same MDW BANKRUPT they got before. Third, the Wrights find a $400 R but then get DQed for the second time this episode w/ a T recall. The Riemedios resume their play w/ an S and two N’s for $900 each, an A and two I’s, and a $900 L, but they then BANKRUPT next to that vacant WC to forfeeit $3,100; that’s their third of the game. The Halls then light up three P’s for $1,050, a $3,500 M and the leftover O’s…

…they’ll need to get a FROZEN PINEAPPLE SMOOTHIE, because they’ve won $4,300 plus a pair of trips to OAHU’s Turtle Bay Resort worth $10,820.

BANKRUPTS: 3 (Riemedios 2x, Halls)
